Game concept of Crazy Pills

Concept statment : 

What will happen if scientists finally find out that the most useful way to kill coronavirus? And what if throw pills to hit virus is that "way"?

Want to wipe out coronavirus?  Well,  this is that game!

Physics-based puzzle game

Because Crazy Pills is like  Angry Birds in many aspects, we also need to throw pills to break defence of virus, since the motion trail of pill is affected by gravity. Besides, we need to use our intelligence and some tricks to control how pills fly and think how to kill the virus, thus, this game is a physcis-based puzzle game.

Concept creation process

My game Crazy Pills' idea basically come from Angry Birds, then I try to find out what kind of game element I could change or create some new things. 

In my opinion, every game should have its own meaning or theme, for exmaple,  in Angry Bird, those cute birds revenge pigs because pigs stole their eggs, it may sounds funny and childish but we can't say it isn't a reasonable theme. Let's see another 2Dgame called Valiant Hearts: The Great War, it tells us several moving and beautiful stories happened during World War II and advocate peace and love. According to these two examples(also many other game), I'd like to change theme and meaning.

Firstly, I change the enemy(PIG) to virus. When it comes to what things impact us most during the first half of 2020,  we may consider cononavirus immediately. People around the world want to get rid of the virus and go back to normal as soon as possible, so in my game I change one of the most important component---enemy to different thing. 

After confirm my enemy in this game, a problem appeared right away: it sound extremely unnatural using bird hit virus! But what else? medicine might be a good choice, powder is weird since it'll scatter when we throw them. Pill seems excellent, it's round and we can throw them just like throw rock or ball. The best way to kill virus is to use modern technology, one of the best representation is medicine and I choose pill as bird. After changing these two elements, the theme of my game becomes to "fight with coronavirus, hope effective medicine will be worked out soon, hope to go back to normal as soon as possible"

For I don't want to change my game's physics-based character, so I'll remain the game mode exactly the same with Angry Bird.

Finally, different bird has different skills in Angry Bird, I'll imitate this character and try to make other kind of skills in my game. 

Audience and competitive analysis

All ages, especially for those who want to develop intelligence 

Because this game is easily controlled(only by click and move your mouse), all ages would get hang of it in few minutes. The theme of game is based on our life, it will remind people not give and keep on fighting with coronavirus, I'm quite sure the situation we've been come through will be remembered by all of us, maybe years later, so when people play with it they will feel this event is memorable. Besides, this game also contains lots of fun, and everyone would enjoy it.

Particularly, for those who want to develop their intelligence, it's a great game to train them to solve problem in different ways, it'll also allows them to think outside the box when they meeting difficulties since there're quite a lot tricks to beat virus in each level in this game.

I can't deny that there indeed exist some very good game which seems a lot like these game, but the meaning and theme is unique and worth to try. 

Game treatment and concept art

In this game, you will experience different level and difficulties  in each map, what you need to do is just using your imagination let those cute pills rush into sky, then they will hit tools around that ugly virus to kill them. Each map stands to different continents and each level would have a theme city. You will be guided to various cities to see their fascinating views as well as to fight with our enemy(cornoavirus). 

Control is so simple that you will get familiar with it in just one minute! Hold the pill on the catapult and drag them to different location, it'll be shoot out in different angles and speeds.  Each pill (except for the normal one---I think it's the red one)would have a special skill, try to trigger it at proper time by click left button. Your stars will determined by how many pills you left after kill all virus. So try to pass level by using least pills as far as possible.  

The following mixed picture could be the "poster" of this game, with some of important elements drawn on it(pills and coronavirus), also I add a symbol of WHO to remind us health is extremely vital.

Also, when virus or pills die, it will be a boom effect on the screen(we could see relevant image contained in above picture). Catapult and other obstacle around virus are listed too,  each obstacle should has two status ---normal and hurt. When pill flying over the sky, if will have a amazing effect, we can see its trail like the meteor.(relevant source worked by other people before will be downloaded).

During the game you can stop or retry or go back to main menu at any time you want. You will be required to gain enough stars to unlock next map, try to explore more and more level by yourself!

After arrange all things in each level, it'll look just a lot like Angry Bird  ↓↓  but with many other innovation
